PAP Bilbo H&V (Spirit of Adventure)

Hi all again!

Here it0s a little step by step of the miniature from H&V Spirit of adventure. This miniature was painted because it was used in the Zwo painting course done at Barcelona. Taking in advantage of the course work, I decided to finish it and maje this tutorial.

Parte 1: Color de la piel
Part 1 : Skin colour

The main idea was painting the face using warm tones, to achieve a higher contrast between cold-warm from the warm skin and the cold clothes, and the base.

Colores utilizados:
Used Colours:

Capa Base: Carne Dorada + Doombull Brown (50/50)
Base Layer: sunny skin tone + Doombull Brown (50/50)

Primera luz: Añadimos a la mezcla anterior Carne Dorada
First light: Adding some sunny skin tone to the mix

Segunda Luz: Añadimos Carne Base
Second light: Add more matt flesh

Tercera Luz: Añadimos Carne Clara
third light: add more light flesh to the mix

Luz Máxima: Añadimos Blanco
Max light: add pure white

Primera Sombra: Carne Dorada + Doombull Brown + Rojo Negro
First Shadow: Sunny skin tone + Doombull Brown + Black Red

Segunda Sombra: Añadimos a la mezcla anterior Rojo Negro
Second shadow: Add some Black red to the mix.

Ultima sombra: Añadimos Rojo Negro y Tinta Violet
Deepest shadow: Add black red and violet ink to the mix.

We add the tones using glazes with the paint very diluted using red in the medium shadow and purples in the  deepest parts.

To check better the skin colour, we paint the figure contour. In this case we paint the jacket.

Parte 2: Mochila - Cueros
Part 2: Bag - Leathers

To paint the bag, I have followed the Zwo's tutorial about how to paint this bag. Is a very detailed step by step that shows how to paint the shadow zones, lights, textures and which colours he used.

Aquí os dejo unas fotos del resultado:
So, this is the result:

Parte 3: Telas
Part 3: clothes

As I explained in the begining, the main idea is paint the clothes using cold colours to contrast with the warm colours of the skin. Some of the clothes colours will be used to paint also the base, to give the whole an armonic result.

Parte 4: Peana Escénica
Part 4: The base

To make the base, first of all I search for some images to inspire me of charmed forest.
I search for forest with cold colours as blue, turquiose and purple tones.

To build the scene, you only need a little base of plasticard (but you can also build it directly using the base), cork, a ruined column and some vegetation.

When the stais are finished, and the column allocated, I cover all the cork with milliput.

I sculped some stone texture before it dries at all.

I add some leaves and branches in the column and in all the base.

This will be the final position in the base:

Para pintarla, utilizo los siguientes colores:
To paint the base I used this colours:

First of all we prime the bae using black spray:

We paint the first layer using Abyssal Blue from Scale 75.

I start first lights this base layer adding Incubi darkness and turquiose. I also paint the earth zones and leaves using Rinox Hide .The forested zones are iluminated with orange and sunny skin tone.

The last lights over the turquiose are done using a yelowish green. I also paint the deepest shadows adding black to the base Abyssal Blue.

To tone the whole scene, I use warlock purple very diluted in the airbrush and I apply it as a glaze in the medium tones.

Aquí os dejo algunas fotos finales. Espero que os haya gustado!
Here are the final photos of the mini. I hope you like it!

Un abrazo.
